PAPAR: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Deputy Secretary-General Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali has reminded party leaders to put aside personal interests and not sabotage the party if they are not selected as candidates in the 17th Sabah State Election (PRN).
Armizan said instead they need to instill a sense of responsibility and place the party’s interests as a priority for the stability and strength of GRS.
“Let’s not destroy the struggle we have built together for so long because of our own interests in becoming candidates. I hope all leaders have a sense of responsibility and awareness to ensure that the party’s struggle is always a priority.”
“Our actions today reflect the extent of our identity and sincerity in our struggle,” he said at a press conference at the Kawang Community Development Leader’s Office, here, today.
He, who is also the Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, said this when commenting on the possibility of sabotage from any leader who was not selected as a GRS candidate in the 17th Sabah state election scheduled to be held on Nov 29.
The Election Commission (EC) has set the nomination date for the Sabah state election on Nov 15, while early voting and polling day are on Nov 25 and 29 respectively.
