Public service reform receives nationwide backing as State Secretaries commit to federal agenda

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia’s public service reform initiative has gained significant momentum as Chief Secretary Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar confirmed that all State Secretaries have formally committed to supporting the Federal Government’s reform measures.

Speaking during the National Public Service Reform Convention 2025, he highlighted that structural reform requires cohesive cooperation between federal, state and local administrations.

He reflected on the MADANI government’s three-year journey, stating that its policies remain rooted in two guiding tenets — no citizen should be left behind, and all government actions must improve public well-being.

The Rancakkan MADANI programme has recorded more than 177,000 visitors, illustrating strong public interest in the nation’s evolving service delivery landscape.
