HiTHIUM Unveils Three LDES Breakthroughs to Enable All-Weather Green Power

XIAMEN: HiTHIUM reinforced its position as a global leader in long-duration energy storage by unveiling three major innovations at its third Eco-Day, highlighting the growing role of LDES in stabilising renewable energy and supporting AI-driven infrastructure.

Held under the theme “The Awakening of Energy • The New World”, the event brought together global LDES experts, AI data centre stakeholders and energy ecosystem partners. As renewable intermittency remains a key challenge, energy storage is increasingly viewed as the cornerstone of all-weather green power.

Co-founder and CEO Jason Wang emphasised that the transition from weather-dependent renewable energy to stable, user-friendly green power hinges on advanced energy storage. To accelerate this vision, HiTHIUM launched the All-Weather Green Power • 135 Lighthouse Plan, a five-year initiative focused on green intelligent computing, comprehensive storage deployment and the development of green power hubs.

The centrepiece of Eco-Day was the launch of three breakthrough technologies. The ∞Power8 6.9MW/55.2MWh system represents the world’s first 8-hour-native LDES solution, designed for renewable smoothing, multi-hour shifting and reliable green power delivery.

The ∞Cell 1300Ah dedicated LDES cell introduces high-capacity storage with deep cycling capability, enhanced safety and a service life exceeding 20 years, significantly lowering the levelised cost of energy.

Meanwhile, ∞Power Solutions for AI Data Center delivers a full-duration lithium–sodium solution, combining long-duration lithium storage with high-rate sodium-ion technology to meet AI data centres’ dual requirements for stability and millisecond-level response.

The Eco-Day also featured an AIDC roundtable and the joint release of the 2025 China AIDC Energy Storage Bluebook, which outlines energy consumption trends and the critical role of LDES in addressing power constraints.

Founder and President Jeff Wu concluded by outlining HiTHIUM’s future priorities, including ultra-large cells, integrated systems, intelligent manufacturing and full-stack energy storage solutions, reinforcing the company’s commitment to shaping the future of energy storage in the AI era.
