KUALA TERENGGANU: The Safe Internet Campaign 2025 has emerged as a key platform for strengthening digital literacy and online safety awareness among Malaysian students, reaching more than 369,000 participants nationwide to date.
Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Communications Nik Kamaruzaman Nik Husin said the initiative was designed to equip students with practical knowledge to navigate the digital world safely amid rising cyber risks.
He said education on cyber safety must start early, as children and teenagers are increasingly exposed to online platforms.
The campaign combines educational talks, hands-on training and interactive learning to ensure students understand not only the risks but also the steps needed to protect themselves online.
Educators have welcomed the initiative, noting that sustained efforts are needed to nurture responsible and ethical Internet users.
