KUALA LUMPUR, — From 5 to 7 September 2025, the Japan National Tourism Organization and 17 partners from across Japan will bring a taste of Japan to the MATTA Travel Fair at MITEC in Kuala Lumpur. Over three days, visitors can explore both popular attractions and off-the-beaten-path destinations—all in one convenient booth.
“This year, 17 co-exhibitors from across Japan will join the JAPAN Booth to introduce not only well-known tourist spots but also hidden gems that are still relatively unknown,” said Kenichiro Ozaki, the Executive Director of JNTO Kuala Lumpur.
“In addition, two of the most popular destinations among Malaysians—Tokyo and Hokkaido— will each have their own original booths located opposite the JAPAN Booth. Together with Tokyo and Hokkaido, we are excited to bring an All-Japan presence to energize this upcoming MATTA Fair!”

Visitors who purchase any Japan-related product—be it flight tickets, JR passes, or tour packages—will receive a complimentary foldable travel bag (TCCs apply). Those who share their travel preferences at the booth will also receive a Premium Frixion Ball Pen, available while stocks last. Additionally, visitors who participate in the Bingo session at 4:45pm on 7 September 2025 will stand a chance to win ONE FREE Return Flight Ticket to Japan, sponsored by EVA Airways!
At one corner of the Japan booth lies a lively stage where daily salmon-cutting demonstrations will dazzle the audience, complete with free samplings of freshly prepared salmon sushi. At other scheduled times, the same stage will host a series of short seminars: the Japanese co- exhibitors will take turns sharing insider tips on off-the-beaten-path tours, cultural experiences, and local festivals in their respective areas. Separately, JNTO Kuala Lumpur staff lead their own seminar sessions to unveil the latest Japan travel highlights, and essential advice for navigating Japan comfortably and safely.
Echoing its commitment to showcasing Japan’s hidden treasures, JNTO has transformed the booth panels into an immersive gallery of regional landscapes—from mist-shrouded mountain forests to windswept coastal shores. By surrounding visitors with these stunning vistas, the Japan Booth becomes more than an information point; it invites travellers to imagine themselves wandering through the very heart of Japan’s diverse natural beauty.
With face-to-face consultations, live demonstrations, exclusive giveaways, and a spotlight on destinations beyond the usual guidebooks, the JNTO Japan Booth at MATTA Travel Fair Kuala Lumpur promises an unforgettable gateway to Japan’s myriad charms. Whether you’re a first- time visitor or a seasoned traveller, this vibrant showcase offers something new to discover around every corner.
We invite all travel enthusiasts to visit the Japan Booth at MATTA Fair Kuala Lumpur and discover the wonders that await in Japan.
