TUARAN (Nov 3) — With the Sabah election fast approaching, Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) component parties Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) and Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (PGRS) have moved into high gear to maintain control of the Kiulu seat, reinforcing the coalition’s unity and voter confidence.
At a PACA Workshop held in Tamparuli, party representatives and volunteers gathered to align strategies and ensure readiness for the polls.
Present were Datuk Joniston Bangkuai, GRS and PBS information chief; Datuk Abdul Kasim Razali, GRS state PACA head; and Datuk George Teo, Kiulu PGRS deputy chief.
Joniston, who currently serves as Kiulu assemblyman, said the collaboration between PBS and PGRS reflects the strength and maturity of the GRS coalition.
“Our focus is not on our opponents but on maintaining public trust. People want effective governance, and GRS has delivered that through tangible progress and consistent leadership,” he said.
Joniston has been credited for improving local infrastructure, promoting tourism, and supporting agricultural development in Kiulu.
Abdul Kasim said the incumbent’s record of community engagement has strengthened his support base, while Teo emphasised that the strong turnout — around 200 participants — shows the coalition’s preparedness.
“This training ensures that all party workers are coordinated and ready. It’s about teamwork and ensuring the election runs smoothly,” Teo said.
