Parliament to Discuss Flight Fares, Johor Traffic, and AI Projects Today

KUALA LUMPUR: Flight ticket prices to Sabah, road congestion in Johor, and AI-related investments are among the main topics at the Dewan Rakyat today.

Vivian Wong (PH–Sandakan) will question the Transport Minister on the average airfare from Kuala Lumpur to Sabah if the RM499 price cap were not enforced, and whether airlines should disclose government ticket subsidies.

Muhammad Islahuddin (PN–Mersing) will ask the Works Minister about plans to upgrade major roads in Johor, especially in Iskandar Malaysia, ahead of the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ).

Oscar Ling (PH–Sibu) will query the Investment, Trade, and Industry Ministry about data centre projects, energy use, and AI investment policies.

After the Q&A session, the Dewan Rakyat will continue debating the 2026 Federal Budget at the committee stage.
