KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 7 – Barisan Nasional (BN) Deputy Chairman, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan has taken to the field to reach out to the people in Sabah in conjunction with the State Election (PRN) which will be held soon.
Through a post on his Facebook page, he had the opportunity to go to the Pasir Putih District Voting Centre (PDM) in the Tanjung Keramat State Legislative Assembly (DUN) area.
“This morning I went to the Pasir Putih PDM in the Tanjung Keramat DUN, Putatan Parliament to attend a friendly event and have breakfast with the surrounding residents. “Also present were Jeffery Nor Mohamed, Putatan UMNO Division Chief, along with the division leadership and local machinery.”
“Alhamdulillah, the atmosphere was full of warmth and family spirit and the closeness of the local community,” he said. Commenting further, he, who is also the UMNO Deputy President, went to Kampung Meruntum to visit the elderly in the area.
“After breakfast, continue today’s movement by visiting senior citizens around the PDM Pasir Putih area.” “The movement also continued to Kampung Meruntum which is also located under the Pasir Putih PDM for the same purpose.”
“May they always be blessed with health, strength and lasting well-being,” he added.
The Election Commission (EC) has set the nomination date for the Sabah state election on November 15, while the early voting date and polling day are on November 25 and 29 respectively.
On October 6, the Sabah Chief Minister announced the dissolution of the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) to pave the way for the 17th Sabah general election. The Sabah State Legislative Assembly has 79 seats, 73 of which are contested while the other six are appointed State Assemblymen (ADUN).
