Qabil Keeps Malaysia in Contention, Adam and Al-Adam Advance

Young Malaysian ace Qabil Irfan Azlan will spearhead the national challenge from the second starting position in the 190cc finals of the FIM MiniGP World Championship 2025 at Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Valencia.

Clocking 42.209 seconds, Qabil finished just behind Spain’s Shengbo Sun, who took pole with 42.118 s, while Judd Plaisted of Australia secured third with 42.397 s.

Fellow Malaysian Adam Aiman faced an uphill battle after ranking 18th (43.066 s) in the initial qualifying, but made an impressive recovery in the consolation round, recording 42.742 s to clinch qualification for both Race 1 and Race 2.

In the 160cc category, national MiniGP champion Al-Adam Mikail Mohd Hamirul Aliff qualified eighth (44.448 s). Spain’s Witold D. Kupczynski (44.797 s) earned pole, with Jan Babiarz (Czech Republic) and Daniel Putorti (Italy) filling out the front row.

Meanwhile, Qabil’s younger brother Qasha Irfan endured a difficult session after falling during his first qualifier, leaving him to fight through two additional qualifying stages for one final chance to make tomorrow’s main race.
