BN: Sabah Election Manifesto Built Around the Needs and Hopes of the People

KOTA KINABALU: Barisan Nasional (BN) has presented its manifesto for the 17th Sabah State Election as a carefully structured development plan aimed at addressing the real needs and long-term hopes of Sabahans, said Datuk Noraini Idris, Chief of Sabah UMNO Women.

She said the manifesto demonstrates BN’s readiness to deliver meaningful improvements to the people’s welfare should the coalition be given the mandate to govern again.

Noraini highlighted BN’s proposal to establish a Sabah Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development — a dedicated ministry led by a woman minister to ensure focused action on women’s empowerment, child protection and community welfare.

She emphasised that BN’s promises are grounded in reality and aligned with the coalition’s current position within the Federal MADANI Government.

The manifesto, launched by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, outlines six core thrusts under the Sabah Development Plan One (RPS1), covering economic resilience, quality education, youth and women as national pillars, political and governance reforms, community well-being and environmental conservation.
