MELAKA — The state government has placed all relevant agencies on heightened readiness following projections of a high-tide phenomenon expected to occur along Melaka’s coastline through December 9.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh said coordinated preparedness measures have been implemented to mitigate any risks arising from the event.
He reminded coastal communities to exercise caution and understand that such environmental changes are unpredictable.
A list of critical areas under close monitoring includes Tanjung Bidara, Padang Kemunting, Telok Gong, Pengkalan Balak, Kuala Linggi and several other coastal zones.
