Huawei Cloud Accelerates AI Ecosystem Growth in Indonesia

JAKARTA — Huawei Cloud strengthened its commitment to Indonesia at the Huawei Cloud Summit Indonesia 2025, unveiling new infrastructure plans, expanded partnerships, and a comprehensive AI roadmap for the region.

More than 500 industry leaders attended the summit. Huawei Indonesia Chairman Xin Dajiang highlighted how Huawei Cloud collaborates with top enterprises — from Telkomsel and Indosat to PLN, BCA, CT Corp, and Alfamart — while supporting hundreds of SMEs to grow Indonesia’s digital economy. The Jakarta Region currently consists of three availability zones.

Asia Pacific President Sunny Shang said Indonesia is uniquely positioned to serve as a core engine for ASEAN’s AI development due to its population scale and industrial diversity.

CEO Leon Fang announced the establishment of a fourth availability zone in 2026, expanding the infrastructural foundation introduced in 2022 with a three-AZ setup offering 99.99% high availability.

Huawei Cloud also introduced a strategic AI partnership with Telkomsel and launched a joint CDN solution with Telkom for improved content distribution.

Marketing head William Dong detailed new advancements, including the serverless Data Fabric lakehouse, DWS 3.0 data warehouse, TaurusDB, ModelArts, and the Versatile AI agent development platform.

Through Cloud for Good, Huawei Cloud has worked with more than 100 universities and 20 ministries to cultivate over 100,000 digital talents nationwide.
