Ceasefire Not Complete Until Israel Fully Withdraws – Qatar

DOHA: Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Al-Thani says the Gaza ceasefire cannot be deemed complete unless Israel pulls out all its forces.

He said negotiations are at a “critical juncture”, with mediators pushing for progress while Qatar maintains its role in the talks.

According to him, the current situation is only a temporary pause, not a full ceasefire, as stability and movement freedom in Gaza are still lacking.

Efforts tied to the Trump administration’s plan — including a proposed interim technocratic government and an international security presence — remain under discussion, but key disagreements persist.

Hamas has released 20 hostages and 27 bodies in exchange for about 2,000 Palestinian prisoners, though Israeli attacks have continued.
