Norris Clinches First F1 World Title After Strategic Drive in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI — Lando Norris secured his maiden Formula One World Championship after finishing third in the 2025 season finale, narrowly outscoring Max Verstappen by two points.

Although Verstappen dominated the race and crossed the line first, Norris’ consistent pace and calculated approach ensured he retained the championship lead.

McLaren celebrated a double podium with Oscar Piastri taking second place, reinforcing the team’s strong season performance.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc mounted continuous pressure but was unable to pass Norris despite repeated DRS chances.

Norris’ triumph marks McLaren’s first world title since Lewis Hamilton in 2008.
