A Routine School Pickup Ends in Tragedy on a Nilai Industrial Road

A father’s daily routine turned into a devastating loss when his motorcycle collided with a tanker lorry at Jalan Perak in Nilai. The accident occurred near the Semarak Light Industrial Area, a location known for heavy vehicle movement during midday hours.

Nilai District Police Chief, Supt Johari Yahya, confirmed that the 38-year-old victim, a library assistant at USIM, was on his way to pick up his child from school.

The sudden collision happened when a tanker lorry executed a right turn at a junction, meeting the victim’s motorcycle head-on.

The impact caused fatal head injuries, leaving the man lifeless at the scene before help could arrive.

This tragedy has once again highlighted the vulnerability of motorcyclists in mixed-traffic zones where industrial and public roads intersect — areas that require not just caution, but improved safety policies.
