After days of silence following the announcement of a defamation lawsuit, actress Rita Rudaini has firmly denied that her outspoken comments were driven by personal motives. She emphasised that her views were shaped entirely by her commitment to children’s welfare and parental rights.
Rita said her intention has always been clear: to speak up when she believes families and children are affected. “There has never been a hidden agenda,” she asserted. “I have fought for children and for parents long before this issue emerged.”
In her Threads post, she shared her belief that honesty often invites criticism. “Telling the truth is rarely sweet. The harshest truths are often the most necessary.”
She also posted an animation of a warrior mother carrying her child — a metaphor widely interpreted as a reflection of Rita’s resilience as a single mother raising her children amid turbulence.
The lawsuit was filed by two education leaders from MUAFAKAT MRSM Sungai Besar. They claimed that Rita made damaging allegations about the association’s leadership. Their lawyer confirmed that multiple social media statements form the basis of the suit.
Rita’s earlier comments raising concerns about the association’s management gained significant traction, prompting heated discussions among parents, educators and the general public.
