RM640 Million Negeri Sembilan Budget 2026 Passed, Backed by Strong State Reserves

SEREMBAN: The Negeri Sembilan State Assembly has passed the 2026 State Budget totalling RM640 million, supported by nearly RM900 million in state reserves despite a projected deficit of RM30 million.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said the budget, which allocates RM150 million for development, is structured around nine focus areas and 69 initiatives to support household welfare and long-term economic sustainability.

He stressed that the state’s healthy financial position allows the government to continue investing in people-centric programmes while maintaining fiscal stability.

Aminuddin also highlighted that the unity government’s consensus-based approach remains key to effective governance, ensuring decisions are made responsibly and in the best interest of the people.
