Activist Fahmi Reza Arrested After Reports Over Alleged Insult to Johor Crown Prince

KUALA LUMPUR – Activist and political graphic artist Fahmi Reza has been arrested following a social media post linked to Johor Regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim.

His lawyer, Rajsurian Pillai, said Fahmi was called in to Bukit Aman for questioning under the Sedition Act and Communications and Multimedia Act, with authorities also confiscating his phone.

More than 50 police reports were lodged against him earlier this week by Johor lawmakers, NGOs, youth movements, community figures and state executive councillors.

This is not the first time Fahmi has been investigated, as he previously faced police questioning over a separate incident involving a “PM mouse” sticker shown during a TikTok livestream.
