Perlis Promotes Muslim-Friendly Tourism Experience to Saudi Market Ahead of VM2026

JEDDAH — Perlis is positioning itself as a preferred Muslim-friendly tourism destination as Saudi Arabian travellers are encouraged to include the northern Malaysian state in their itineraries for Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

Crown Prince Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail said Perlis has strengthened its preparedness to welcome visitors from West Asia through strategic tourism initiatives implemented under the Visit Perlis 2024–2026 campaign.

He said Perlis offers a distinctive experience rooted in Islamic-friendly hospitality, serene natural attractions and strong cultural character — providing travellers with a meaningful and comfortable journey experience.

This commitment is reflected through upcoming major programmes such as the Perlis International Sunnah Convention and the Sunnah Village cultural engagement event.

The invitation was conveyed following the launch of the Perlis Culinary Promotion in Jeddah, where Perlis’ traditional cuisine was showcased as part of cultural diplomacy efforts. MyMakan Restaurant received an official plaque recognising its support in promoting Perlis gastronomy internationally.

The initiative was supported by the Malaysian Hajj Consulate, MAIPs, Yayasan Tuanku Fauziah and YTSP Perlis.
