ALOR SETAR: A 27-year-old woman has been remanded after police seized over 1kg of cannabis believed to be intended for distribution.
The arrest was made during an operation conducted by the Kedah Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department along Jalan Kuala Kedah.
The cannabis was found packed in a transparent plastic bag, while the suspect’s motorcycle was also confiscated.
District police chief ACP Syed Basri Syed Ali said investigations revealed the suspect had past drug-related offences despite testing negative for drugs.
The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
