Police Report Filed by Nubhan’s Ex-Wife Over House Entry and Possession Dispute

Singer Nubhan’s ex-wife, Dr Afifah Hidayah, has filed a police report following an incident involving alleged unauthorised entry into their former home and the removal of her belongings without notice.

The report was lodged at the Seremban 2 Police Station in Negeri Sembilan after the Senawang residence, where Afifah and her children once stayed, was reportedly accessed without consent.

Afifah said the decision to report the matter was made upon her lawyer’s recommendation after reviewing the situation and its legal implications.

“He can argue that I supposedly knew the house needed to be vacated, but if that’s the case, where is the evidence? Where is the official document stating the date and agreement?” she questioned.

Afifah insisted that she remains entitled to reside in the home until the matrimonial property dispute is resolved in court, emphasising that she has entrusted the matter fully to her lawyer Datuk Akberdin.

Her lawyer previously confirmed that a civil suit has already been filed against Nubhan following the alleged break-in and the transfer of Afifah’s belongings, at a time when she was reportedly overseas.

The incident occurred just months after the couple legally ended their marriage in August. It is alleged that Nubhan changed the locks to the property and removed several of Afifah’s personal belongings, actions believed to be against the law.

Currently staying with her parents, Afifah said her focus is now on caring for her children and rebuilding stability. She claimed that statements made by Nubhan regarding the matter are merely attempts to justify his actions.

She added that if discussions about returning to stay at the house were necessary, they should have been conducted legally and courteously through lawyers rather than through abrupt and unilateral actions.

Afifah also clarified that the issue does not revolve around religious or emotional claims such as iddah, nor is it solely about whose name the house is registered under. Instead, it concerns legally recognised matrimonial rights that must be determined by the court.

She is currently organising boxes and plastic-wrapped belongings that were allegedly sent to her parents’ home, many of which were mixed together and require time to sort properly.

Nubhan and Afifah married in August 2015 and share three children — Aafiya, Ahmad Aaffan and Afzan Nayille. The case continues to be handled through the legal system.
