PDRM Announces Up to 70% Discount on Traffic Summons Payments

KOTA KINABALU, Nov 5 — The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) is offering motorists discounts of up to 70 per cent on traffic summonses under its Traffic Summons Payment Reduction Campaign, which runs until December 30.

Kota Kinabalu District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Kasim Muda, said the campaign is intended to make it easier and more affordable for the public to clear their outstanding summonses while promoting awareness on road safety and compliance with traffic regulations.

He said the initiative follows instructions from the PDRM Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department, in line with the announcement made by the Home Minister on October 22.

“This campaign not only provides financial relief to the public but also reminds motorists of the importance of adhering to road laws for the safety of all road users,” he said.

Payments can be made conveniently through the MyBayar PDRM mobile application for users registered with MyDigital ID, at the Kota Kinabalu District Police Headquarters (IPD KK) Traffic Counter, or at any Pos Malaysia office nationwide.

However, Kasim noted that the discount does not apply to non-compoundable offences, and all payments remain subject to the current compound rates, with a minimum fee of RM30.

He encouraged members of the public to take advantage of the offer and settle their dues before the campaign ends.
