PETALING JAYA: The uncertainty surrounding Arif Aiman’s injury looms large after he was substituted early during Malaysia’s match against Nepal. Head coach Peter Cklamovski said the winger will undergo a medical scan to determine the extent of the problem.
Cklamovski noted that he did not get a clear view of the moment Arif went down but trusts the medical team to deliver an accurate assessment.
“Until the scan is done, we can’t draw conclusions. Hopefully it’s minor,” he said.
Despite the disruption, Malaysia demonstrated composure and secured a narrow 1-0 win through substitute Faisal Halim, something the coach described as evidence of the team’s depth and unity.
