GENTING HIGHLANDS – FELDA has stressed the importance of establishing a national-level task force to develop a carbon credit framework dedicated to Malaysia’s palm oil industry.
Shabery said the collaboration should involve MGTC or Bursa Malaysia as registry operators, MPOB for technical methodology development and SIRIM for certification and verification.
He emphasized that forming this framework reflects Malaysia’s commitment to sustainability and supports the ASEAN-Malaysia Vision 2025 pillars of inclusivity and environmental resilience.
