KUALA LUMPUR — The number of flood evacuees in Perak decreased tonight, according to the state disaster management secretariat.
As of 9pm, 680 evacuees from 195 families remained at relief centres across three districts, down from 934 earlier in the day.
Hilir Perak recorded the highest number of victims (344), followed by Manjung (190) and Bagan Datuk (146).
The Department of Irrigation and Drainage reported two rivers at danger level — Sungai Bidor (3.82 m) and Sungai Slim (25.45 m).
In Selangor, the number of evacuees remained unchanged at 40 individuals from 13 families in Kuala Selangor.
