KANGAR: In an effort to reduce the burden on residents recovering from recent floods, the Perlis government has announced a rebate for 10,000 litres of water consumption for all domestic users, applicable to December water bills.

Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli described the initiative as a “gift” to the public during the home recovery phase, especially as many communities continue to deal with weak water pressure and flood-related disruptions.

He said the rebate is expected to support cleaning and sanitation needs as residents restore their homes.
