KUALA LUMPUR – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) confirmed that it is investigating the TikTok account @berjuanguntukzara for uploading inaccurate and misleading content related to the Zara Qairina case.

The probe is being conducted under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act 1948, Section 505(b) of the Penal Code, and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

Authorities said the offenses involve improper use of network facilities and services, as well as content that could incite hatred and provoke public unrest.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department Director Datuk M. Kumar urged the public to cease such irresponsible activities immediately, warning that misinformation could create confusion within the community.

He stressed that the dissemination of false information risks undermining the smooth and effective investigation by the police.

The PDRM continues to monitor the situation closely as the investigation progresses.
