PUTRAJAYA, Aug 7 — Malaysia has issued a strong condemnation of the Israeli Zionist regime’s latest decision to militarily take full control of the Gaza Strip, calling on all nations to unequivocally reject Israel’s apartheid policies.
In a statement released today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the planned move as “deliberate and inhumane,” revealing the regime’s clear intent to permanently occupy Palestinian territories — a gross violation of international law, and a direct affront to the principles of human rights and justice.
“After 22 months of relentless bombings, siege, and the forced displacement of over 90% of Gaza’s population, this action is clearly aimed at terminating the two-state solution.
“If Israel is allowed to act with impunity, the entire peace process will collapse and the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination will once again be denied,” the statement said.
Call for Global Action and Recognition of Palestine
Malaysia urged all countries to firmly reject Israel’s apartheid policies and to take immediate and concrete action to recognise the State of Palestine based on the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The statement also called for:
A permanent ceasefire
The complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza
An immediate end to all restrictions on humanitarian aid access
Unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance
Full United Nations membership for the State of Palestine
Malaysia’s Ongoing Commitment to Palestine
Earlier, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim reaffirmed Malaysia’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause in a Facebook post, stressing that the country’s efforts go beyond strong statements at international forums.
Anwar added that Malaysia continues to work closely with regional and global leaders to uphold the rights of the Palestinian people.
