KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 4 — Apple Inc. has officially launched the web version of its App Store, marking a major step toward expanding its reach beyond its own devices and strengthening its app ecosystem worldwide.
Previously, users trying to access the App Store via a browser were redirected to the native app on iPhones or Macs. Now, with the web version, anyone can search, browse, and review applications directly online, regardless of whether they own an Apple device.
The new interface features a streamlined left-side navigation panel that allows quick access to app categories across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Vision, Watch, and TV. Users can also view top app charts and receive personalized recommendations based on their operating systems.
Industry analysts see the move as a strategic expansion of Apple’s digital ecosystem, potentially boosting developer visibility and long-term non-hardware revenue.
This rollout also underscores Apple’s growing openness — an approach that may help enhance global engagement while adapting to shifting market demands for accessibility and transparency in digital platforms.
