PETALING JAYA — Not every athlete turns a setback into fuel for success, but Emma Firyana Saroji has done just that.
After losing to Katherine Rednall of England in the group stage, Emma now heads into the World Cup final with a renewed sense of purpose and a sharpened strategy.
“Each loss teaches you something. I’ve learned to be patient, to stay composed, and to trust my technique,” she said after training at Bukit Kiara Sports Complex.
The early rounds, where she won three matches and lost two, reminded her of the need to maintain rhythm and focus.
“Once I found my groove, everything clicked again,” she added.
Now, Emma sees the final not merely as a championship match, but as a personal journey of resilience, belief, and redemption.
