Malaysia’s Pang Ron–Su Yin return from injury for Japan Super 500

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 7 — Malaysian mixed doubles shuttlers Hoo Pang Ron and Cheng Su Yin will return to competition next week at the Kumamoto Masters Super 500 in Japan after a two-month layoff.

The world No. 20 pair last played at the Korea Open before Su Yin suffered a left foot fracture.
Fully recovered, the duo aim to rebuild form ahead of the Australian Open later this month.

Their opening match will see them face Taiwan’s Wu Hsuan Yi and Yang Chu Yun, runners-up at the Kaohsiung Masters.

“We’ve trained hard and are ready to perform,” said Pang Ron. “It’s time to regain our rhythm.”

Su Yin added, “I’ve healed completely and no longer feel any fear on court.”
