Police Will Comply with Court’s Order on Missing Activist, Pastor Cases – Saifuddin

PUTRAJAYA, Nov 10 — Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail has assured that police will carry out the High Court’s directive to reopen investigations into the disappearance of Amri Che Mat and Pastor Raymond Koh, both missing for nearly a decade.

Saifuddin said ignoring the order is not an option, warning that failure to comply could expose the government to financial and legal consequences.

“These cases predate my tenure, but that is no excuse. It is now my duty to ensure that the judgment is executed,” he said after officiating the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons event.

The two disappearances have long drawn criticism from civil society groups and international observers demanding accountability for the alleged involvement of state agents.
