DRB-Hicom’s Q3 Net Loss Expands to RM15.19 Million on Heavier Investment Impairments

KUALA LUMPUR — DRB-Hicom Bhd recorded a deeper net loss of RM15.19 million for the third quarter ended September 30, 2025, widening from RM5.29 million in the corresponding period last year.

In its Bursa Malaysia filing, the group said the quarter was significantly hit by a RM22.31 million loss from the disposal of investment securities, compared to RM4.66 million last year.

The fair value of investment securities also declined by RM10.67 million, adding further pressure.

Lower interest income from short-term deposits and additional losses from derivatives and asset write-offs further dragged the group’s earnings.

Despite this, revenue rose to RM4.49 billion — an 8.6% increase — driven largely by better performance in automotive, banking, property and service-related businesses.
