PUTRAJAYA – The Cabinet has sent its condolences to the family of Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin following his death in the early hours of Friday, said government spokesperson Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.
Four Cabinet members travelled to Sabah to represent the federal government at the funeral, reflecting the administration’s respect for the late leader.
Bung Moktar, aged 66, passed away at a private hospital before dawn. He was buried in Kampung Likas after prayers at Kota Kinabalu City Mosque.
Fahmi also clarified that Datuk Ewon Benedick is no longer part of the federal Cabinet, having been appointed to the Sabah Cabinet as Deputy Chief Minister III with responsibilities in industry, entrepreneurship and transport.
