KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s men’s doubles pair Kang Khai Xing–Aaron Tai continued their remarkable form by clinching the Guwahati Masters title in India today.
The victory completes an outstanding two-week run after they also lifted the Syed Modi International crown last week.
At the Saru Sajai Indoor Stadium, the world No. 46 pair dominated the home duo Pruthvi Krishnamurthy Roy–Krishnaprasad Sai Pratheek, winning 21-13, 21-18.
They also maintain a flawless record this year, having won every final they participated in.
Their triumph adds to earlier success at the Malaysia Super 100 in October.
In the women’s doubles final, Ong Xin Yee–Carmen Ting fell short, losing 17-21, 21-23 to Indonesia’s Isyana Shahira Meida–Rinjanie Nastine.
