Police Seize 30 Motorcycles in Anti–Road Thug Operation

IPOH — A major crackdown on road thugs in Ipoh resulted in the seizure of 30 motorcycles, as authorities intensified enforcement along Jalan Pasir Puteh.

Perak Police Chief Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin said the integrated 12-hour operation involved JSPT, JPJ, DOE and AADK teams.

One rider was arrested for reckless behaviour, while officers issued 158 traffic summonses, 82 JPJ actions, and 11 DOE notices.

A total of 335 individuals were screened, with 11 testing positive for drugs, including a 16-year-old.

Police say ongoing enforcement is crucial to reducing accident risks and curbing dangerous road activities.
