KUALA LUMPUR: Ernie Zakri emerged as the biggest winner of Anugerah Bintang Popular 37 after clinching the coveted Most Popular Star title with an overwhelming 124 million votes.
The 33-year-old singer described the victory as unexpected, saying she had already changed outfits and was ready to head home before the announcement was made.
“I’m truly grateful to everyone who voted. This means more than I can express,” she said.
The night proved even more memorable for Ernie as she also won the Popular Female Singer category, cementing her dominance at this year’s awards.
