CHICAGO: The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2025 conference marked a pivotal moment for the future of healthcare, as United Imaging Intelligence (UII) showcased how intelligent AI agents are reshaping medical imaging and clinical workflows.
Aligned with the RSNA 2025 theme “Imaging the Individual”, UII posed a compelling question to the global radiology community: “Agent Radiologist: Are We There Yet?” The inquiry reflects a broader shift in medical AI, moving beyond task-based automation toward systems capable of understanding clinical context, reasoning across data and supporting decision-making throughout the care pathway.
At the centre of UII’s presentation was uAI Insight, a next-generation AI agent making its North American debut. Designed to support end-to-end imaging-to-report workflows, the system leverages UII’s large multimodal AI models, integrating text, image and voice data to identify complex patterns and generate structured diagnostic reports with enhanced clarity and accuracy.
Demonstrations highlighted uAI Agent for Chest CT Reporting, which can detect 73 thoracic conditions from a single scan with an average AUC of 95 per cent. Similarly, uAI Agent for Brain MRI Reporting demonstrated the ability to identify 47 neurological conditions, underscoring the growing maturity of medical AI.
UII also unveiled uAI Agent for Ultrasound, an embodied AI system combining robotic arms with real-time diagnostic intelligence. By dynamically adjusting probe position and pressure based on visual and tactile feedback, the system delivers a more personalised and patient-friendly scanning experience.
Beyond individual applications, UII introduced its vision for the “Digitelligent Hospital”, an intelligent, adaptive healthcare ecosystem where AI agents collaborate across diagnostics, hospital management, patient services and clinical research.
RSNA 2025 highlighted a decisive evolution in medical AI — from isolated algorithms to cooperative, autonomous agents that learn, adapt and operate alongside healthcare professionals, with UII positioning itself at the forefront of this transformation.
