RANTAU PANJANG – A man was arrested after the General Operations Force (GOF) found over one kilogram of compressed cannabis in his car during a security operation yesterday evening.
The 50-year-old suspect was stopped at 6.45pm when officers conducting Op Taring Wawasan noticed suspicious movement involving his vehicle.
According to Southeast Brigade Commander Senior Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Radzi Hussain, a thorough search led to the discovery of 1.058 kilograms of cannabis.
The suspect later tested positive for methamphetamine. The total seizure, including the vehicle, is valued at around RM14,000.
He has since been referred to the Pasir Mas District Police Headquarters for further action under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
