PETALING JAYA – Vertiv has revealed plans to expand its manufacturing presence in Asia through the establishment of a new production facility in Johor, marking another significant milestone in the company’s regional growth strategy.
Scheduled to be fully operational by the first quarter of 2026, the facility will focus on producing Vertiv™ power and thermal management systems, including cooling distribution units and modular prefabricated data center solutions designed to support high-performance computing environments.
The investment is driven by rapidly increasing global demand for high-density computing infrastructure, fuelled by expanding artificial intelligence (AI) applications and machine learning technologies that require robust and scalable digital systems.
The new Johor plant is expected to enhance Vertiv’s ability to deliver products more efficiently, boost production capacity and provide stronger regional support for customers across Asia’s fast-growing digital markets.
Vertiv Asia Vice President of Operations, Andrew Whall, said Johor’s strategic location near Singapore, advanced logistics capabilities and reliable utilities made it an ideal choice for large-scale technology manufacturing.
The facility will also contribute to local workforce development, with Vertiv planning to create up to 500 skilled jobs over three years, supported by advanced automation technologies to ensure efficient, sustainable and high-quality manufacturing operations.
