KUALA LUMPUR — The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has formalised cooperation with the Malaysian Federation of the Deaf (MFD) through a memorandum of understanding to broaden anti-corruption education outreach to the deaf community.
Through the MoU signed in Puchong, both parties will collaborate on awareness campaigns, training initiatives and integrity-based programmes to ensure clearer understanding of corruption-related issues among deaf Malaysians.
The agreement also supports efforts to train MACC personnel in sign language to improve communication and educational delivery.
The MoU was signed by MACC Community Education Division Director Datuk Ahmad Nizam Ismail and MFD President Mohd. Norhisham Aluwi, while Executive Director Mohamad Sazali Shaari was present.
During the event, both organisations discussed plans for 2026 and toured Taska Istika Jaya, a centre for deaf children.
