Embassy urges Malaysians in affected conflict zones to seek help if unable to relocate

The Malaysian Embassy in Phnom Penh has advised Malaysians who are facing difficulties relocating from areas impacted by the ongoing Cambodia-Thailand conflict to get in touch with the embassy immediately to obtain assistance.

The embassy stated that it remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of Malaysians in the region and is prepared to offer support where required.

In its advisory uploaded on social media, the embassy highlighted that Malaysians should not attempt to handle the situation alone if they are unable to move safely and should instead reach out through the official communication channels provided.

This is to ensure that appropriate follow-up action can be taken and that affected Malaysians receive proper guidance.

For assistance, Malaysians can email mwphnompenh@kln.gov.my or call the embassy’s 24-hour hotline at +855 15 216 176.

They may also refer to the official embassy website for verified updates and additional information.

The embassy will continue monitoring the situation closely while urging Malaysians to remain cautious and prioritise their safety.
