JOHOR BAHRU — Rising river levels have caused fresh flooding in Johor, with the Segamat district becoming the latest affected area, leading to the activation of six flood relief centres to house evacuees.
A total of 103 residents from 32 households have been relocated so far, with evacuation centres operating since 8pm, said state disaster committee chairman Datuk Asman Shah Abd Rahman.
Authorities also confirmed that the Muar and Kesang rivers have breached danger levels, while continuous monitoring is being carried out as precautionary measures.
Most districts were reported to experience fine weather except Mersing, which continues to receive rain.
