PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia’s Home Ministry will open a special submission window to process foreign worker quota applications for 2025 between January 19 and March 31, 2026.
The ministry said the extension applies to all sectors and sub-sectors approved on October 1, 2025, including the services sector previously closed earlier than others.
Each application submitted during the special period will be reviewed jointly with supervising ministries before consideration.
To ensure transparency and prevent exploitation, KDN urged employers to submit applications directly through its One-Stop Centre, with appointments to be booked beginning January 16, 2026.
The ministry expressed hope that the measure will enable more organised and planned workforce recruitment, while enhancing efficiency in service delivery under the Madani administration.
