The Freestyle+ Brings a New Level of Smart Portability to Samsung’s Projection Lineup

Samsung is expanding its lineup of portable display solutions with The Freestyle+, an enhanced AI-driven projector introduced ahead of CES 2026. Designed for users seeking flexibility, convenience and high-quality visuals beyond fixed television screens, the latest model offers smarter automation and greater viewing freedom.

The Freestyle+ continues the compact, travel-friendly design of its predecessor but arrives with substantial improvements powered by artificial intelligence. Samsung states that the device was engineered to adapt naturally to everyday living environments, allowing users to simply place and enjoy without complicated setup.

AI OptiScreen plays a central role in this experience. The system evaluates the surroundings and optimises projection instantly. Its 3D Auto Keystone ensures correctly aligned images even when projected at unusual angles or onto imperfect surfaces. Real-time Focus maintains visual clarity automatically, eliminating blurriness when the device is moved.

Wall Calibration helps manage challenging projection surfaces by analysing wall colour or texture and reducing unwanted distortion. Meanwhile, Screen Fit automatically adjusts projected image size where applicable. These elements are supported by Vision AI Companion, Samsung’s intelligent interaction platform that integrates enhanced Bixby controls.

Brightness performance has also been upgraded, with 430 ISO Lumens delivering improved visibility across a wider range of lighting conditions. The 180-degree tilt design expands usability further, enabling ceiling viewing or unique room placements without additional attachments.

Beyond visuals, The Freestyle+ is equipped with a 360-degree audio system that provides room-filling sound. Q-Symphony compatibility allows synchronisation with Samsung soundbars to create enhanced layered audio output.

As an entertainment platform, the projector comes preloaded with access to Samsung TV Plus, partner OTT platforms and Samsung Gaming Hub—allowing users to stream, play and explore content immediately.

Samsung will display The Freestyle+ at CES 2026 before rolling it out globally throughout the first half of the year. With its combination of mobility, AI intelligence and stronger performance, the device reinforces Samsung’s strategy of making premium entertainment accessible anywhere.
