PUTATATAN: Sabah politics continues to heat up! STAR Tanjung Keramat Division Head, Datu Duarin Harris, has resigned with immediate effect and announced his strong support for the leadership of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) led by Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor.

Duarin made the bold decision through an official letter dated October 15 sent to STAR President, Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, also informing all Division Committee members to resign with him.

“I am resigning with immediate effect and all Division Committee members are also resigning from their respective positions,” he said, expressing his appreciation to Jeffrey for his trust since 2021.

However, Duarin stressed that his struggle remains with GRS — a sign of loyalty to the political direction that emphasizes stability, unity and development of the people under Hajiji’s leadership.

This surprising move is seen as a strong blow to STAR ahead of the Sabah State Election (PRN) which is approaching.

Duarin’s decision also joins a wave of other STAR leaders who have left the party, but have chosen to continue to stand firmly behind Hajiji — a clear signal that the tide of support for GRS is rising!
