Sabah Election: ‘Cover’ PN Planted in Sabah, Aliakbar Confident He Can Overthrow Karambunai

KOTA KINABALU : Perikatan Nasional (PN) has strong roots in the struggle in this state and this confidence is the foundation for the coalition to win the Karambunai State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seat in this state election.

Sabah PAS Commissioner, Dr Aliakbar Gulasan said that the PN struggle did not originate from the Peninsula as is often portrayed, on the contrary, Sabah was among the early states that mobilised the coalition’s political movement.

“In the Peninsula, this is called uri. So there has been a lot of commentary to make us more confident that PN’s roots are planted in Sabah, we are not a Peninsular party.”

“This PN Tembuni is the first to be planted in the state of Sabah, so it is impossible for us not to win in the context of this Karambunai DUN. We are confident that Tembuni has not been planted here in Karambunai, this time we want to plant Tembuni in Karambunai on the condition that we have to work hard,” he said when speaking at the launch of the PN Machinery at Padang Taman Sepanggar.

He, who is expected to contest in the Karambunai state seat, also said that the political approach of values and morality will be the core of the PN machinery in the area, which consists of people from various political backgrounds.

“We really emphasize the politics of values and the politics of morality. The politics of goodness, politics that does not bring about revenge, envy, insults or abuse. I think the PN in Karambunai has to stick to this first thing.

“We also have to be friendly to everyone. Whoever they are, even if their house has the flag of the opposing party hanging, be polite to everyone. Because in the last election, it was proven that Karambunai won by only 16 votes,” he said.

In this regard, he also called on all machinery to focus on the future of Sabah through a new mandate in the seat in question.
