Cabinet Reshuffle Speculation Mounts, Saifuddin Stays Calm: ‘I Don’t Know Anything’

PUTRAJAYA – Amid mounting speculation over a Cabinet reshuffle and talk of Khairy Jamaluddin’s possible comeback, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail maintained a calm and straightforward stance – he simply has no knowledge of the matter.

“I have no information,” he said with a smile after officiating the AI Security Transformation Symposium 2025 here today.

Saifuddin recalled that during the formation of the unity government in November 2022, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had once sought his views on Cabinet composition.

“But now, after three years in power, the Prime Minister has his own wisdom and judgment to decide who fits best in his team,” he said.

He emphasized that the appointment of new ministers remains the sole prerogative of the Prime Minister, while other ministries would adapt to any future changes.

When asked about speculation that the reshuffle may be announced in early December, Saifuddin responded lightly: “I meet the Prime Minister every day, but that topic never comes up.”
