Second-seeded men’s doubles pair Man Wei Chong–Tee Kai Wun joined their compatriots in the last four after defeating Thailand’s Peeratchai Sukphun–Pakkapon Teeraratsakul in straight games.
In women’s doubles, world number two Pearly Tan–M. Thinaah cruised into the semi-finals after dispatching Thailand’s Benyapa Aimsaard–Sapsiree Taerattanachai in dominant fashion.
However, mixed doubles pair Go Pei Kee–Teoh Mei Xing suffered a surprise exit after losing to unseeded Indonesian duo Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma–Meilysa Trias Puspitasari.
