State Support for Police Welfare Strengthened Through RM300,000 Allocation

MELAKA: The Melaka state government has reinforced its support for police welfare by allocating RM300,000 to assist families of police personnel across three districts.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh said the funding reflects the state’s appreciation for the dedication and sacrifices of the Royal Malaysia Police and their families.

Each district police headquarters will receive RM100,000 to support welfare initiatives, including educational assistance for children of police officers.

The allocation was announced during the Jelajah Wira MADANI programme, which focused on providing school-related aid to police families.

Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail said the initiative strengthens family resilience within the police force and aligns with the values of Malaysia MADANI.

He noted that such programmes help reduce financial stress while encouraging children of police personnel to pursue excellence in education.

The event also honoured retired police officers, recognising their contributions to public safety.

The RM300,000 allocation underscores the state government’s commitment to people-centric governance and long-term support for security forces.
